HOPE FM 89.6.

Hope FM 89.6 MHZ is a Christian radio station of the Episcopal diocese of Kajo Keji established in November 2014.  It broadcast in English, Bari, madi and simple Arabic, it served as an effective tool for promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ, peace and unity among the communities in Kajo Keji County, the neighboring counties of Morobo, Lainya, Yei, Magwi and northern districts of Moyo and Yumbe in Uganda. As for Feb 2017, it was not operational due to the war in the area that prompted the entire population to flee to the camps in west Nile region of northern Uganda as refugees.  

Through the effort of the Rt Rev Emmanuel Murye Modi the Bishop of Kajo Keji Diocese, director for South Sudan radio Mr. Mike Gwatenity and other parteners, the radio was on March 2021 reinstalled in one of the room of Emmanuel Cathedral where it was before the war. It’s now effectively been use to broadcast messages of peace, forgiveness and reconciliation to build confident among the displaced people, the remnant and the returnees especially at this period of return and reconstruction of the broken structures and infrastructures. With the presence of the radio, Christians and entire population often receives the word of God, encouragements, entertainment and sensitization messages by ministry of health and other humanitarian Agency about health awareness and outbreak such as COVID 19, Missal and other life threatening diseases.

Hope FM Radio; meets the Spiritual needs of both – the community and the Church.

As Radio, we aim at reaching everyone within our signal coverage with the transforming power of the gospel of Christ in light of the vision of the Diocese. Hope FM is not a ministry but a Radio Station itself which provides airtime for ministry programs to go on air.

During the re-installation of the Radio Hope FM that was closed during the conflict that lead the people to the refugee camp in Uganda.
